One of the biggest changes in the Westlake Houseboat, was transforming the built-in office to a cozy bedroom for the client's daughter - that could also double as a guest room!Read More
I love this project! This young couple purchased their first home together in the beautiful neighborhood of Seward Park. Having all this new space meant that these folks needed to find furniture to fill the space. Choosing smart options that work for now, as well as the future was key. Taking into account their lifestyle, and how they use the space was important in creating a design that was functional as well as beautiful!
Lately I've been drawn to all things Teal. It seems to be the most versatile color of the moment. This blue-green hue pops against all sorts of materials, whether it be the soft grey of concrete or the deep dark brown of wood or leather. It pairs well with any shade of grey (which seems to be sticking around as the "it" color for interiors). Not to mention it mixes well with other pops of color including yellow, navy, and orange. Whether it's in deeper shades like "peacock", or lighter tones like "seafoam", this color is definitely one to think about adding to your decor. It's fresh vibe is a must as your new go-to accent color!
What do you think? Would you add this fun color to your interior??
The Sleep Centre was the last project I created while attending the Interior Design School. I wanted to update and put a fresh perspective on a clinic that performs overnight sleep assessments. I envisioned a space not only for observed sleep patterns but also for education, alternative therapies and physician visits. I wanted the space to feel calming - because we know all too well how many healthcare facilities are instant anxiety-inducers. The goal was to make the patient feel at ease from the moment they entered.
This mood board represented all the elements that I wanted to incorporate into my design; It had to feel calming, natural, organic, peaceful and tranquil.
Sleep is so important and these days it seems like people are having more and more problems getting the hours their body requires. I think the design our your bedroom can greatly impact our sleep. Wanna know more? Well stay tuned... I just might post some tips here real soon! ;)
