Someone wise once said “to know where you are going, you have to know where you’ve been”.
As I was mulling that thought over, I started to think about all the projects I’ve done, and the amazing clients I’ve worked with. I had this overwhelming desire to share some of these amazing projects with you in a new series of posts for Flash Back Friday’s (#FBF); because despite the fact that many of these projects take months - if not years - to complete, they are over in a FLASH! All the planning, designing, meetings, money spent, smiles and tears all seem like memories.
This young professional couple had moved multiple times before deciding on settling down on top of Queen Anne. Because they were unsure if they were going to move again, we decided to make smart choices - opting for neutral colors for the furniture, and choosing pop’s of color in the accessories and artwork.
We updated the paint color to a beautiful warm griege that accentuated the white trim. We kept the existing hard finishes and opted to invest in great furniture items. A comfy modern sofa, paired with contemporary swivel chairs and a leather recliner rounded out the living room. While a durable quartz dining table paired with leather dining chairs gave them style and durability they were looking for.
The bright artwork was the jumping-off point for choosing the colorful accessories. A bright bold painting works in this otherwise neutral space, and the family have the option to easily swap out the accessories when they feel like switching things up.
We took this condo from a sparse empty space, to a bright, cheery home. It’s comfortable for living and entertaining, while being super functional for all their future endeavors.
