Today marks two years since graduating from The Interior Design School in London, and becoming an official Interior Designer!
Interior Design has always been something that I've been interested in. When I was young, I used to re-arrange my bedroom constantly. And when I got tired of that, I would re-arrange the Living Room, Guest Room, Basement, my sister's Room - basically any space I could get my hands on. And when I ran out of options in my parent's home, I would move onto my Aunt's home. And then my Nanny's. If they let me, I would organize and arrange their belongings into a more functional and useable way. I saw every space as a puzzle and if arranged in the right sequence the end result would be a beautiful picture - that people could live in and enjoy!
Being an Interior Designer allows me to create spaces that are unique to my clients, that no one else has. I love that I can create spaces that people love to be in, and that function for my client's specific needs. I truly believe that our homes can affect our wellbeing. Our homes are our sanctuaries. It's where we end our day, to escape from the world, where we gather with friends and family. I love that I can be a part of making it into that special place.
This week, I thought it would be fun to share some of the projects that I completed in school that got me to where I am today! So stay tuned!
