The Sleep Centre was the last project I created while attending the Interior Design School. I wanted to update and put a fresh perspective on a clinic that performs overnight sleep assessments. I envisioned a space not only for observed sleep patterns but also for education, alternative therapies and physician visits. I wanted the space to feel calming - because we know all too well how many healthcare facilities are instant anxiety-inducers. The goal was to make the patient feel at ease from the moment they entered.
This mood board represented all the elements that I wanted to incorporate into my design; It had to feel calming, natural, organic, peaceful and tranquil.
Sleep is so important and these days it seems like people are having more and more problems getting the hours their body requires. I think the design our your bedroom can greatly impact our sleep. Wanna know more? Well stay tuned... I just might post some tips here real soon! ;)
