I recently finished a project for a young couple here in Seattle; who after purchasing their first house together, really needed some guidance with how to make it a home. Their existing furniture had seen numerous moves, and it was time to update and invest in some good quality pieces. Taking into account that in the future they will be doing a massive renovation, we chose pieces in neutral colors that could easily transition as their space transforms.
The goal was to make this space feel open, light and most importantly comfortable. Their personal style needed to be injected into this century-old craftsman - which is where MAPLE & PLUM came in and helped to achieve their desired aesthetic. Because this house was perched on a hillside amongst trees, the clients wanted to maintain the feel of a cabin sanctuary in this growing city. We introduced various wood tones while keeping a neutral base and adding pops of white and teal to keep it modern and light.
This space now allows for lounging, entertaining, and enjoying time together. The personal touches make this home truly unique to the client, which is something I always strive to do. Your home should be a reflection of you!
I'm so pleased that I was able to deliver a space that my clients can comfortably live in while they save up for renovations. I love all the details in the space; there's something to look at in every corner. And better still is the feeling of comfort and relaxation you feel the minute you step inside. Great project! Great clients! Happy days!
